Matthew 4:1-4 

1. Prayer and fasting is about us hearing God AND God hearing us.

2. Prayer and fasting doesn't make you better than others, it makes it better than you.

3. Prayer and fasting allows us to do more in the spirit because we devote time, attention and spiritual activity to seeking His will and His outcome to our problems.
