The presidential candidates are promising to "Make America Great Again."  But no politician ever made America great nor can he or she make it great again. Likewise, a government cannot make a nation great. America's greatness can be traced solely to the work of God through His Church. And when we discover how, each one of us will also discover what our individual roles need to be if America is to be great again.

America's Best Citizens! It is true biblically and historically that when Christians sanctify Christ as Lord in their hearts, they are the best citizens any nation has--including Rome and the United States of America.  This timely message will give you hope in this unfair world.

How are we to respond when we are treated unfairly or harshly?  The apostle Peter shows us that if we truly want to make a difference in this world for Jesus Christ and His kingdom, it depends upon our godly response. And in one word, that response is to "submit."  "Submit yourselves for the Lord's Sake." 

With the political season in full swing, we need to understand the Christian's response and responsibility in politics and government. Of all things, according to the apostles of Jesus Christ, it begins with suffering. Greg Foster has written, "To this day the church remains an institution designed to serve a politically persecuted religion." This message is the first in a series about Christianity and politics. 

Who were the Magi and what can we learn from them?  These Wise Men teach us five important lessons that we can apply today as we seek to worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," wrote Charles Dickens in a Tale of Two Cities. We also live in that kind of  time where there is dismal darkness and all the news seems bad. But the message of Christmas is that that the Good News always dispels the bad news like light dispels the darkness. The prophet Isaiah wrote, "The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them" (Isa. 9:2).

Just this week, the Rev. Billy Graham warned American churches, "Prepare for Persecution."  This message begins a new series in Peter's first letter called, "Hope in Shaky Times."  What ever your shaky times and circumstances are, "What does it mean to have a living hope?"  When we face trouble and distress, what does it mean to have a hope that is fully grounded in Jesus Christ? Peter is uniquely qualified to speak of hope in a way that instills hope and confidence in Christ, no matter what we are going through.

How do we survive and remain faithful even in these last days?  What do we have to do in order to be effective servants of Jesus Christ?

What is it that motivates us to be determined and deliberate in our Christian lives?   What is the prize that God has for us at the end? What causes us to run with endurance?

It has been said that the path of the Christian walk has a dangerous ditch on each side. Plus, Satan has littered our path with what could be called landmines.  How do we avoid the ditches and how do we successfully navigate the path?
