Many Disney fans know that Walt Disney's cherished hometown of Marceline, Missouri played an integral role in his life, and therefore the products the company produced. Most also know that Main Street USA in Disneyland is inspired, in part, by Kansas Avenue in Marceline (since renamed Mainstreet USA).
