This podcast was inspired by the book Time to Parent by Julie Morgenstern and the article below from The Atlantic https://www.theatlantic.com/press-releases/archive/2020/04/the-anxious-child-and-the-crisis-of-modern-parenting/609901/
Other Books I've Read During Social Distancing:
Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Fierce, Free and Full of Fire by Jen Hatmaker
Live Love Now by Rachel Macy Stafford (almost done)
4 Ways Christy practices "being" a human
1. Movement
2. Quiet
3. Curiosity (Christy's Favorite Poem: https://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-brief-for-the-defense/)
4. Adult Conversation
Bonus Tasks: Art, cleaning something, drinking water & eating well, reading and listening to podcasts, limiting my social media.
Self-Care: Make your list of 4 ways to practice "being human" while raising humans. Make the tasks tiny and daily.
Play: Trace your kids' hands onto blank paper, color the hands, and then fill the space all around the hands with positive affirmations, things you notice about them, what makes them awesome, ways they have grown.
Don't miss out on the FB group. You'll need to know that I do something every day.
