When supporting someone in grief often nothing more is needed than being a presence. Whether that’s a text expecting no response or a note saying you are thinking of them. It can even be just sitting with them , holding space. Often words are not needed.
Accept their grief journey as their own with no judgement. Do not try and “ fix” them or where they are at in their grief. Be a listening ear. Be a presence in a griever’s life.
