culture shock, but so much more. I come from a country that’s almost completely white and then out of the blue moved to the us, country of diversity. As a mixed teenage girl that completely changed the perception I hold of myself. I now look back on how others view me has changed, how i view myself, what I learned and experience (ex: how real and beneficial pretty privilege is) And lastly what that says about the us as a society, especially racially wise, main thing having different types of beauty standards. My first experiences with boys being interested in me based on how i look and people complimenting me everyday. So many reflections and a lot of contrast between my two countries. Hope you’ll enjoy.
