Oftentimes, if we catch ourselves, we are wishing to be in a different moment other than the present. We may wish we are in the future when all of our to do list is completed and accomplished. We may wish to be free of any difficult or unpleasant emotions we are experiencing and so take ourselves back to a memory of a more relaxed time.
