I'M NOT LEAVING AND I'LL TELL YOU WHY:

• Eternal Life - The revelation of eternal life keeps me thinking with a eternal perspective and helps me endure temporary hardship.
• Unshakable Peace - The peace that Jesus offers is not fragile like the worlds peace and stays with me even when situations change.
• Forgiveness of Sin - My faith helps me understand the brokenness in the world and the brokenness in myself. But it also provides the only real solution: forgiveness and redemption through the cross.
• Kingdom Purpose - My faith gives me my unchanging purpose—to put Christ on display.

Setbacks are an inevitable part of life that come from an imperfect world, imperfect people, and imperfect choices.

Steps for Recovery:

1. Desire to get better and be willing to do what it takes to improve.
2. Abandon excuses and blame, recognizing the difference between a reason and an excuse.
3. Get up and move forward, understanding that grief is a season, not a lifestyle or identity.
4. Carry your testimony, reframing your story to focus on what God has done in your life.
5. Take daily steps of faith that enforce your victory.

Spiritual Stability comes from wise decisions, not just passion. God gives us the choice between life & death, but God won't choose for us.
That's why we need a biblical framework for decision-making:

1. Love God - Love is affection that results in action, so love God enough to consider Him when making decisions.
2. Obey His voice - Find God's will in God's word, and make decisions based on the principles found in Scripture.
3. Hold Fast to Him - Your decisions will eventually submit to your patterns, so build wise patterns through small decisions.

It is my responsibility to choose what God has chosen for me.

It's far too common for people to come to the Christian faith with excitement and energy only to fizzle out and fall away. It's not due to a lack of passion, emotions, or intensity, it's from a lack of spiritual stability.

Being spiritually stable requires that you make better decisions.

The enemy tries to influence us toward destructive decisions by using:

• The Lust of the Flesh (Deceptive Desires)
• The Lust of the Eyes (Perverted Perception)
• The Pride of Life (Misplaced Identity)

The call is to reject those influences and build your life on Christ. This is building your house on the rock and not the sand. This is what determines whether we stand or fall when storms come.
