Most of us, if we're honest, would rather have fresh food than leftovers. We may save those last few bites for later, but we don't actually want those last few bites tomorrow, we want a new, fresh meal that tastes like it was just put together. Unfortunately, we often give God exactly what we don't want, our leftovers.
Nothing says more than how we use our time everyday, and so many of us are too busy to put God first, so we put Him last, and we give Him whatever is left over from our day, or maybe our entire week. Here's the truth, though: You can't have a real relationship with someone wen you don't prioritize them.
If you choose to be a follower of Jesus, then you are choosing to spend time with Jesus, and prioritizing Him every day, above all else. If this isn't what our day to day life looks like, then we've been short-changing God and giving Him our leftovers, rather than the best we Have.
This week, we encourage you to pay close attention to how you prioritize your day, and attempt to make small decisions that make God more of a priority. Try reading your bible first, not last. Try worshiping Him with worship playlists before you jump into other artists and genres. try giving God your 10% tithes and offerings before you spend money on anything else. Try talking to God before you talk to anyone else when you wake in the morning. Try putting God first!
If this message encourages you, and you're ready to learn more about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, we'd love to talk to you! Text the name "jesus" to 315-444-2100 and one of our staff pastors will get in touch with you. You can also send us a message on social media, or contact us through our website at Believerschapel.org
