The resurrection of Christ was more than just a fairy tale, a fable, or a reason to celebrate just once a year. The resurrection is true. And the truth of the resurrection provides powerful promises to us today. This message focuses on the promise of "justification" - the promise that we can be forgiven of sin and stand before God in Christ's righteousness.
Easter Sunday is the finale of our series "The Table" when we see the Resurrected Jesus meeting two of his disciples on the Road to Emmaus and sharing a meal with them.
On Palm Sunday we continued our series, "The Table" with Jesus' parable of the Great Banquet. In it, we find the open call to salvation and the command to go and welcome as many people as possible to the table of fellowship with God.
Part 5 of "The Table" is about an awkward meal Jesus shared with Pharisees and Lawyers. In it, we see the dangers of and Christ's warnings against religious hypocrisy.
We continue our series, "The Table" with a look at the story of Mary & Martha and the meal Jesus shared with them.
