Fear will always lead you somewhere God never sent you. That's what happen to David as he ran to the enemy's camp in Gath. David ended up marching with the very army set against his own people. Even in David's loyalty to a King that set out to kill him and the compromise David lived in, the rejection was really God's rescue because the Lord will close a door to keep you from fighting against your own destiny. David was sent back home to find smoke and defeat, loss of family as well. If that wasn't enough his men spoke of stoning him. Wow, if anyone needed encouraging David did. So, David encouraged himself in the Lord. The man who started in fear at chapter 27 finished in generosity at chapter 30, because the one who learns to encourage themselves in God gets made ready for the throne God has for them.
