The author of Hebrews wants to see Christians grow in the faith. In life, children grow and become adults. Believers should do same in their spirituality as suggested by Heb 5:11-14

In this edition of Believers on Board, we start the day with great expectations. Paul in 2 Cor 7:2-7 advises that we look to God for help. It can come in different forms and sizes from many and various sources.

Proud people are not popular because they look low on others. Proverbs 16:18-19 highlights the destructive nature of pride and arrogance; that’s something to avoid.

James 2:14-26 gives believers practical advice: that faith and deeds must go together. Anyone who separates the two, is yet to understand the mission of Jesus.

Most people want to live above 100 years before they die. No problem! Ask why you want long life. Psalm 39:1-6 has some challenges for all of us.

2 Timothy 1:3-10 is the passage to read. Verse 7 says God has given all believers a distinct spirit. The spirit of power, the spirit of self-discipline. Do your own self assessment and see if you are bold and fearless for Christ.

What lasts for ever? The Word of God! All human beings come and go, so do other things. The irony of it is that some people neglect the permanent and focus on the transient! Is 40:1-9 has a message for all of us.

Psalm 19:7-14 reminds us that we are people who make many mistakes. So while we ask for God’s deliverance from errors, we should also be open to welcome corrections from others.

Have you ever seen a person who makes no mistakes? If you say Yes! Then you are wrong! Such people don’t exist! Since all make errors, Proverbs 3:11-14 advises us on correction in love

Do you know how to sing? If your answer is No, I will answer Yes for you. All of us can sing and praise God if we want to. Don’t complain about your crooked voice! God gave it to you, use it for what Col 3:12-16 advises us to do.
