Lesson six (6) from the Book of Hebrews
A prophet represents God to man, while a priest
represent man before God. In this way, Jesus serves as our high priest.
The entire book of Hebrews borders/builds on the superiority of Christ
APPLICATION OF OUR PRIESTHOOD
1. Our Priesthood is fulfilled in intercession (Hebrews 7:21-25, Romans 8:23-24, 1 Samuel12:20-23, Colossians4:12, 1 Timothy2:1-3 and 1 John 5:14-16
NUGGETS
· Understanding your priesthood matures you faster
· If you are not an interceding Christian, you are not
working or practicing priesthood
· Priest do not represent themselves, rather they represent
others.
· When you pray for someone, you feel a reluctance/restrain in your heart to speak negatively about them. As such, It will be difficult to cause someone if you intercede for them.
· When you start interceding by praying for others, your
spirit is engaged, and things begin to move quickly in your life.
· When you enter into intercession (engaging your spirit
by praying for others), things begin to work fast for you.
· Place Christ’s priorities above your own desires and
let God’s purpose be the most important focus in your life.
· Your anger will decrease, if you learn to pray and intercede for others,
· A believer fails in the act of intercession when another believer goes to hell.
