I so enjoyed reading this book and viewing life through the eyes of a child and how it can make one a better person.
A Great Gift for a New Parent
I had listened to this book a few years ago in audio format and decided to purchase the book as a gift for a friend's daughter and daughter's husband who have recently become parents. It's a great story about parenting and I wish I had read it when my children were young. I purchased the book from Lakeshore Books and received the book quickly and in the described condition. I will buy from Lakeshore Books again if they have a book I wish to purchase.
Personal and relative
Having a son in the last 17 months has brought a lot about life into perspective for me. Marc Parent's work here parallels many of the lessons I've learned even though his children are both older than my son for most of the book. Anybody who has children can appreciate the worry that goes into those first months and also the amount of lessons you as a parent learn while trying to teach your child lessons. "Believing It All" captures many of the thoughts and feelings that parents (at least myself) find so hard to verbalize. I recommend it to anyone who has children.
Touches me as a parent and brings back childhood memories
This book touches me on so many levels that I can't even begin to cover it all. As a new parent, who has recently become a stay at home mom, I can totally relate to Marc's daily life. As a child who grew up on a farm and in the country, the carefree childhood memories of Marc touch me with almost a deja vu type of clarity. What can I say? From the children's fascination with a dead animal to the love of riding even after you're too big for the stroller....this book touches me as both a child who once was and a parent that I now have become. I loved it....and didn't want it to end.
