Belinda Lashea is a Certified Nurse Midwife, a Direct Entry Midwife and a PHD candidate. She is a faculty member at ECU in North Carolina, runs an herbology business and is practicing and a director of a birth center. Belinda has a journey to midwifery that is literally from the ground up. She was a teen mother, living in poverty, unable to buy groceries, and now has a voice in midwifery as a leader, she is an expert in so many subjects and is a doctoral candidate.
