While some naturally excel at showing warmth and hospitality, all believers are called to this practice regardless of their personality type. Common obstacles like differences between people, social anxiety, and busy schedules often prevent us from showing genuine warmth. By creating margin in our lives, being authentic, and viewing differences as opportunities rather than obstacles, we can better reflect God's love to those around us.

True worship extends beyond religious rituals and singing, encompassing how we spend our time, attention, and resources. It involves examining what occupies the throne of our hearts and recognizing where we might have allowed good things to become ultimate things. Authentic worship begins with repentance and leads to restored purpose, redeemed brokenness, and a life that reflects God's glory. By examining our calendars, spending patterns, and life trajectories, we can identify areas where our worship needs realignment.

In this sermon, we explore the vital role of God’s Word in our lives and church, asking, "What kind of church are we?" Using Joshua 1 as a guide, we see how God’s Word serves as our compass, shaping our reality and offering a better story. Just as Joshua relied on Scripture over miraculous signs, we too must align our lives with the Bible to see the world through Jesus’ eyes.
