In our new series, When Crap Hits the Fan, we’re looking at people throughout Scripture who experienced fear, hardship, uncertainty, and moments when everything seemed to fall apart. But more importantly, we’re looking at how they responded. Through their stories, we’ll discover what it looks like to trust God, remain faithful, and follow Him even when life gets hard.

This week we closed out our Back to Church series by talking all about how we can change the world with the gospel! When we understand the power of the good news of Jesus, we can’t keep it to ourselves. Our students were encouraged and challenged to be bold in sharing the gospel with everyone around them and to live as people who carry the hope of Jesus wherever they go.

As we wrap up this series, our prayer is that students would leave ready to boldly share the good news of Jesus and be a part of changing the world around them!

The people we surround ourselves with matter because the community around us has the power to shape who we become. In a world that can feel full of chaos, we should look for community that encourages us to become more like Jesus. We weren’t created to do life alone, so let’s surround ourselves with people who point us toward Jesus and help us grow to be more like Him.

We’re kicking off a brand-new year and a brand-new series, Back to Church, where we’re getting back to the foundations of what we believe and why we believe it as the Church. On our first night, we talked about what it means to know God personally - because following Jesus is more than knowing about Him; it’s knowing Him and having a real relationship with Him.

Week 4 of our Gifted series took us into the topic of tongues. We looked at how language first became a source of confusion and division because of sin, but how through Jesus, what was broken is being brought back together. God’s desire has always been to unite people from every nation, tribe, and tongue through the gospel. In a world full of confusion, noise, and competing voices, we were challenged to be people who pursue truth and point others to the hope found in Christ.
