Sermon by Josh Christophersen:
In today's sermon, we explored the pressing issue of the devil's schemes, which aim to foster isolation, promote a consumeristic mindset, and encourage fruitless living among believers. This strategy is evident as more individuals in developed nations embrace singleness and celibacy, not out of a call to holiness, but to serve selfish desires. This shift towards self-centeredness is also seen in the church, where members consume spiritual services without engaging in fruitful community life. The Bible warns us against such unfruitful works of darkness and calls us to live out the kingdom of God through active, fruitful engagement in all areas of life. Our mission is to embody this kingdom by fostering genuine community, resisting the consumeristic tendencies of our times, and nurturing a culture of fruitfulness. As part of this vision, our church is expanding its efforts through new missional communities and leadership training programs, ensuring that our leaders are well-supported and that our gatherings reflect the vibrant life of the kingdom.
