Today all we're going to be doing is taking ten deep belly breaths together. When you breathe deeply into the lower lobes of your lungs, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system (while deactivating the sympathetic "fight-or-flight" mechanism). In doing so, you’re letting your body know all is well, and it’s safe to relax and restore itself
