Belly Up & Friends

The fellas can’t help but laugh at Zion Williamson’s Baby Mama Drama, with his girlfriend Moriah Mills going on a Twitter tirade with receipts after the gender reveal for Zion’s baby with another woman. Cesar gets a Health Education lesson and hilarity ensues.

The guys also discuss Jokic and how emotionless he was after winning the NBA Championship, admitting everyone hates their job and getting upset after finding out he has to stay in Denver for the parade.

The convo shifts to football, as the guys talk about the XFL losing $60M this year and what this means for the league in the future. Plus, the IRS is cracking down on collectives, Deion Sanders doesn’t want college players to be “filthy rich,” kids are scoffing at the money EA Sports is offering to be in the next NCAA Football game, and Gene Smith trying to downplay the Ohio State-Michigan game is ridiculous.

The guys talk about Connor McGregor sending the Heat mascot to the ER and the Mayweather/Gotti brawl that ensued after their exhibition fight.

The show wraps with Messi to Miami talk and how Mike is shook about what this means for FC Cincinnati’s chances at a title in the future.

Who cares that the NBA and NHL are determining their champion right now, the PGA is taking that Saudi money after it was announced that the PGA Tour, DP Tour, and LIV will all combine into a new entity funded by the Saudis.. The fellas talk about how Monahan did all of the PGA players dirty after denouncing Saudi money and then turning around and taking it and how furious the players must be that turned down LIV in the first place. Then the guys talk about what could be with this merger, and the thought of WWE-style golf makes a comeback.

Before the golf talk, Cesar holds down the fort by himself…answering questions from the listeners, interviewing his brother about 9/11, and talking gambling in the NFL and Taylor Swift controlling the NBA playoffs.

The fellas wonder about Jacob deGrom’s future after its been announced that he’ll undergo Tommy John again, and the death of the Pac-12 with rumors of Colorado and Arizona potentially heading to the Big 12.

Hope you all had a great MDW! We were lucky enough to be joined by longtime Valpo staffer and newest member of Paul Mills' staff down in Wichita... Luke Gore. What a fun interview this was as we dive into everything from Luke's early coaching days to his progression through the ranks and how he ended up at Wichita. We take a trip down memory lane and discuss the Varun Ram foul in the Maryland game and he tells us a laugh out loud story about Carmelo Anthony. It was a real treat to chat with him. Then of course I had to give my thoughts on the 2 Caleb's running my life right now: Love & Martin. I guess I'm happy Arizona got Caleb Love but I'm despondent about what Caleb Martin did to my Celtics. More pain and anguish.

It took 7 games, but the Heat finally stopped playing with their food and put the Celtics out of their misery. The fellas talk about the Celtics rolling over in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, setting up the Heat vs. Nuggets finals that nobody saw coming. The guys try to figure out who on Miami can guard Joker, and how crazy the Jokic brothers are going to be.

The conversation shifts to a terrible take-off, with Mike presenting some truly awful takes that people had this week and the guys decide which was worse.

The Terrible Take-off begins with Scottie Pippen, who said that Michael Jordan was a “horrible player.” After laughing at Scottie, and at Scott, the guys move on to terrible take #2, with Missouri HC, Eliah Drinkwitz lowkey hating on NIL. Finally, Mike introduces terrible take #3, and Keyshawn Johnson saying that Dak Prescott is a better QB than Joe Burrow.

The fellas laugh at the ump’s hot mic moment in Miami, and wonder what the insurance claim process was like for the owner of the car that got hit by a flying tire in the Indy 500.
