Happy Friday! It’s time again for Baseball and Whatever. Episode 71 to be exact. This week we have flipped the script a little bit and started off with our “Whatever” segment. We were lucky enough to be joined by Jordan Pruitt, football coach, podcast host, and marketing guru to talk about our favorite football helmet designs of all time whether it be NFL, NCAA, Movies, or even the XFL? You’ll have to tune in to see. After that we dive into our regularly scheduled Chicago sports talk. Will Tony La Russa be back in 2023? Is Matt Mervis the next the next Cub star? Do you care that Aaron Judge is chasing home run history in the AL? These are all things we dive deep into, along with a full recap of the recent Bears/Texans game. Even though Vinnie’s out this week, he put his thoughts together in some audio clips that we expand upon. Check it out!

Miam Dolphins QB, Tua Tagovailoa, most clearly suffered a concussion last weekend in the 2nd quarter of game vs. Bills. At least, it appeared as though he did when seeing the video replay and his attempt at walking back to the huddle. However, he returned for second half and played remainder of game showing no ill effects, and the team later listed his injury as a back injury.

There are many skeptics like myself, who feel that there may have a deviation from the concussion protocol that allowed him to return much quicker than he probably should have.

Now, the NFLPA has announced an investigation will be performed and completed in 1-2 weeks. There could be way more to this story, and I believe we may see some disciplinary action by the league. Stay Tuned!!!
