Yoga Nidra is a form of deep relaxation. I take you verbally from the awakened state, through the dream realm state, and into deep REM sleep. Fifteen minutes of this type of relaxation equates to one hour of REM sleep. This guided relaxation can be done sitting down or lying down. You will want to find a quiet place in which you will not be interrupted. The body temperature tends to drop, so you will want to wear warm clothes or cover yourself with a blanket. It may take a few tries to get to a place of stillness, so be patient with yourself. If you fall asleep, it’s also ok, you will still reap the benefits. This practice is great for those suffering from PTSD, anxiety, insomnia, depression, lack of energy… the list goes on 🙏🏼
