"You cannot serve anyone or anything by being small." Podcast host, Katy Stalter, chats about this phrase that she heard spoken by yoga instructor, Adriene, on the Yoga With Adriene YouTube Channel. Our bodies are made to be strong and upheld, not told to be made smaller. Our struggles, traumas, and desires are not to be made small and suppressed, but to be made bigger and talked about so that they may become lighter. Relationships are not meant to be lived out on surface levels, they are to be explored in the most vulnerable of ways to create a space of trust, love, and support. Voices are not made to be quiet, they are present in order to speak up against oppression, racism, hatred, and violence. God did not give us Himself to be diminished and ignored, but to be adored, loved, and welcomed into our lives and hearts.
We cannot serve our bodies, our minds, our peers, our God by being small. We cannot make changes in our world by remaining small. Listen to this episode to hear reminders that we are not made to be small and receive some encouragement in becoming larger in all aspects of our lives.
