Kérdés: Chinmoy mester, úgy hiszem, hogy két háború van, a belső és a külső. Mikor és hogyan fog ez a két háború véget érni?
Sri Chinmoy: Igazad van, két háború van, a belső és a külső. A belső háború az a háború, amit a belső lényünk vagy a lelkünk vív a korlátok, a tudatlanság, a kétség és a halál ellen. A külső háború az a háború, amit az ember vív az emberrel, a nemzet a nemzettel, az ország az országgal. A kérdés most az: mikor és hogyan érhetnek véget ezek a háborúk? Ezek a háborúk csak akkor érhetnek véget, ha először a belső háború fejeződik be. Vagyis amikor a belső világban a belső lény vagy a lélek legyőzi a tudatlanságot, a félelmet, a kétséget és a halált. Akkor a külső világban nem lesz szükség háborúra. Azért harcolunk, mert mélyen bennünk diszharmónia, félelem, szorongás és agresszió van. Amikor mélyen bennünk béke, öröm, teljesség és beteljesülés van, nem fogunk háborút hívni. Tehát a külső háború akkor ér véget, amikor a belső háború megoldódik, amikor a belső háború abbamarad. Mindkét háború véget fog érni, és szükségszerűen véget is ér az emberi fejlődés folyamatában.

Sri Chinmoy: You are right, there are two wars, the inner and the outer. The inner war is the war that our inner being or the soul fights against limitations, ignorance, doubt and death. The outer war is the war that man fights with man, nation fights with nation, country fights with country. Now the question is: when and how can these wars come to an end? These wars can come to an end only when the inner war first stops. That is to say, when in the inner world, the inner being or the soul conquers ignorance, fear, doubt and death. Then in the outer world there will be no necessity to wage war. We fight because deep inside us there is disharmony, there is fear, there is anxiety and there is aggression. When deep within us there is peace, joy, plenitude and fulfilment we shall not invite war. So the outer war will come to an end when the inner war is resolved, when the inner war stops. Both wars will come to an end and are bound to end in the process of human evolution.
