Ike and the crew are joined by Ben from Onsight Firearms Training to discuss running a training business on the East Coast. Ben shares how he got his start by realizing after his first class that he still had much to learn.

Ben talks about the challenges of the restricted states, but also how demand is strong there since guns are less accessible. He covers navigating state laws, working around magazine capacity limits, and being smart if transporting firearms.

Onsight Firearms Training has a full schedule teaching at ranges across the Northeast. Ben prides himself on bringing top national instructors to his students, mentioning hosting Steve Fisher, Chuck Pressburg, and Jared Reston among others in 2023. He stresses that good instructors should support each other, not view each other as competition.

The discussion also touches on session topics like shooting in tough conditions, drawing from a holster, problem-solving stoppages/malfunctions, and training with revolvers. Ben's perspective from both teaching and years in the industry makes for an insightful conversation.
