I made my first monster SFX using Nuendo 14. It is a creepy SFX that could be used in a horror or thriller film or used within a game, this is my first go at sound design and it's just for fun.

Here is my cover of God Rest Ye Merry Gentelmen, the arrangement is by Eric Roche from his book 'the acoustic guitar bible' sadly he passed away in 2005 and he is one of my guitar hero's.

this is the audio from a live performance I did for a youtube video, it took 16 takes and 2 and a half hours to record a piece of music less than 2 minutes long. I feel like the effort was worth it in the end!

It was captured with a matched pair of line audio CM3 mics in XY position, several feet away from the guitar through the recording chain was as follows: 2 x rupert neve designs 511 mic pres > elysia xpressor 500 > elysia xfilter 500.

This is my final recording for 2025, I hope you enjoy it and had a good Christmas and have a happy new year!

Beastling

an instrumental track I made taken from samples created by Billy Hume.

I created this using the sampler in cubase 14 in a drum and bass style, to see how far I could push it.

It was submitted as part of a competition where Billy Hume gives you some samples that he recorded then you go and create an original piece of music.

This is a piece of music called 'The Theory of Love' composed by Wendell Novotny.

This is a track to compare two different P90 pickup sets, one of them is the warman soapy joe set and the other bare knuckle pickups blue note set. Can you guess which one is which? I will reveal the answers soon, send me a message if you want to know the answer in advance.

I thought I'd try re-amping it through some guitar pedals, part 1 is fx free, second part is the script logo MXR phase 90, thrid Strymon Ola Chorus and the fourth mad professor fx mellow yellow tremolo.
