Cs: Pražský hrad se třpytil pod jasným světlem měsíce.
En: Pražský hrad glistened under the bright light of the moon.

Cs: Sníh pokrýval každou věž a střechu.
En: Snow covered every tower and roof.

Cs: Lidé se shromáždili, aby oslavili Nový rok.
En: People gathered to celebrate the New Year.

Cs: Vzduch byl chladný, ale nálada byla hřejivá a veselá.
En: The air was cold, but the mood was warm and cheerful.

Cs: Jana stála mezi nimi, obklopená svými přáteli.
En: Jana stood among them, surrounded by her friends.

Cs: "Koukni, Karele, jak je to nádherné!"
En: "Look, Karel, how beautiful it is!"

Cs: zvolala nadšeně, když spatřila ohňostroj.
En: she exclaimed excitedly when she saw the fireworks.

En: Jana knelt beside him, took a deep breath, and began to assess what needed to be done.

Cs: Všechno zmáhala díky tomu, co se naučila ve škole.
En: She managed everything because of what she had learned in school.

Cs: "Někdo zavolejte sanitku!"
En: "Someone call an ambulance!"

Cs: zakřičela na dav.
En: she shouted to the crowd.

Cs: Cítila, jak se třese, ale nesměla si dovolit zaváhat.
En: She felt herself shaking, but she couldn't afford to hesitate.

En: Slowly and calmly, she began to stabilize Miroslav.
