What an unpopular topic in today's "free," modern society, eh? Well, Miss Eve and Moreh will take a deep dive. Is it an antiquated concept, or still relevant? Let's take a listen. It's #NationTime; plans for our dress and behavior are overdue.
Through and annals of time, it has become crystal clear which strategies have worked on human beings and which have not. "Strategies" to do what, you may ask? Today, we're discussing strategies designed to control people. And not just individual folks, but entire Nations. Moreh and Ms. Eve chop it up about the strategy of divide and conquer and it’s effect on a people. Our people. It's #NationTime; our preparation must include how to resist our enemies.
When discussing Black Culture, should we start before slavery? After? Should we even discuss the Peculiar Institution at all? People deemed "African American" have a long and storied history, but what kind of culture has developed from it? Is contemporary pop culture synonymous with Black Culture? Or should we remain purists when identifying who we truly are? Moreh and Miss Eve discuss the impact of slavery, familial challenges, and pop culture on Black people. It's #NationTime, and culture is critical to a cohesive Nation.
Miss Eve keeps hearing about the biblical chapter known as Deuteronomy 28. It comes up over and over when certain camps discuss Black identity. But what does Black identity have to do with a collection of words in the Bible? Miss Eve and Moreh discuss the Hebrew Israelites and proof texts they have used to explain their belief systems about who we (Black folks) are ... and why we're here. It's #NationTime; if our current predicament was truly forecast, it's imperative that we learn all we can about how we got here.
Unless you live in a tiny hamlet with one traffic light, you've seen them. Today, we chop it up about these "Hebrew Israelites." What are they about? And why?? Miss Eve and Moreh discuss the Israelites and the perceptions people have about this movement. It's #NationTime; movements among our people must be understood, and solutions touted by these movements have to be taken into account so that we can build our rightful place in this world. Everyone's voice counts.
Are we still doing this thing? Turns out, the answer is "yes." Moreh and Miss Eve discuss the NFL Boycott and what is hoped to be achieved at the end of it all. Folks, it's #NationTime, and since every Nation needs power, respect, and self-determination, we need to decide how we want to respond when injustice challenges us yet again.
