The Lutheran Reformation restored the biblical teaching that sinners are saved by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone. Through the Augsburg Confession, we learn that God forgives our sins because of Christ's saving work and creates and strengthens faith through His Word and Sacraments.

This sermon introduces the key people, events, and problems that led to the Lutheran Reformation. Using Romans 3:21-28, it explains six areas needing reform and emphasizes that sinners are justified by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from good works.
