“In relationships, desires lead to misfortune.” Every week, I start with a lesson from the I Ching. This week is lesson 54, the Marrying Maiden, which warns that putting too much stake into a relationship can serve to unbalance. If, however, you concern yourself primarily with maintaining your relationship with what is right, everything else will flow from there. More thoughts on this concept in today’s episode!

Week 156: 升｜師

Welcome to the SpiritCast! Every week I throw an I Ching for the week and discuss the lessons on the podcast. This week, the lessons were 46、升、Shêng / Pushing Upward, and 7、師、Shih / The Army. My reading of this sign, in brief, is that I am approaching a challenge, but I have a great army to march with if I stay on the side of the light. Will I do it? We won't get the answer until the end of the week, but I look forward to trying!
