If you have time to worry you have time to pray.  

Prayer invites God to unleash his power in our lives   

Mark 9:29: "This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer." 

Acts 9:40: "But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, 'Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up'".

James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? ... Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ... Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. ... And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."  

John 16:33 

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  

Prayer for Daily Living: 

Heavenly Father,
I’m praying with faith and submitting to your purposes.  Teach me to believe.  All things are possible with you. I humbly bring you issues that are beyond change without your intervention.  Help me to persevere until you reveal your answers.  Give me wisdom to ask for the right things and trust your timing.  In Jesus name, Amen!

 2 Timothy 3:16-17 

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 

Hebrews 4:12 

 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” 

Romans 10:3

“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.”

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” 

Revelation 3:20

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

 When faced with a choice ask:

Does this choice support the life that I want to walk with Jesus Christ?

Examples: 

New friends, old friends, romantic relationships, food, exercise, positive thoughts, negative thoughts, biblical application, conforming to the world or not, financial situations, etc.

Spiritual Responsibilities 

1.     In this offended and judgmental world, we must always be the role models. 

2.     You don’t do battle with a giant like worry, blame, or insecurity with more of the same; you arm yourself with the things that are spiritual, surrender, confession and repentance. 

3.     We need the help of the body praying for us and help from above, strength, clarity, and that is from the Holy Spirit. Let God remove the plank from  your eye.

14 Whose confidence shall be cut off, And whose trust is a spider’s web. 15 He leans on his house, but it does not stand. He holds it fast, but it does not endure. 

1.     God sees what you can be not what you are today. 
2.     God gives thanks for who you are instead of lamenting over who you are not.
