In today's passage of Scripture we see that as followers of Jesus we are called to do good in three spheres: society, the workplace, and for those of us who are married, in our marriages. We are called to be good citizens, good servants, and good spouses for God's glory! We are commanded to do good for God’s glory

We see in this text that Jesus is quite the divisive figure – as He is the cornerstone on which you build your life and God will build His Church – or He is a stumbling block to those who don’t receive His Word.

God calls each of us to continue to grow into spiritual maturity.

We are called to live differently than the world.

God calls us out of darkness and into

His marvelous light as His children. In what ways is your life distinct?

Are you a picture of God's holiness in a dark world?

Do you realize the extent of the mercy you can receive through Christ?

Because of God’s great mercy, we can endure trials with a joyful hope!

Even the greatest trials of life can be endured because of His great love and mercy for us that grants us a living hope.
