This summer we are teaching through the Gospel of Matthew. My hope in walking through this Gospel is to help us see Jesus like we never have. Matthew is more than a biography of Jesus. Much like Exodus, it tells the story of God saving His people from slavery; however, Jesus doesn't save us from a tyrannical Pharaoh, instead, he saves us from the tyrant of sin and death. He sets us free to live in the promised land of His kingdom. So, as we explore Matthew's gospel, I want you to see Jesus clearly and love Him fully!
Prayer Prompts:
1. Lord, help me to see the lost as you do, with eyes of compassion and a heart that breaks for them.
-Pray by name for those in your circle who are far from God.
2. Lord, would You pour out Your Spirit and ripen the harvest here in Kodiak.
-Make hearts soft, open doors for the gospel, and prepare the way.
3. Lord, would you raise up laborers for Your harvest.
Would you raise up laborers:
-On the Coast Guard base
-In our schools
-In local government
-Among the Tagalog and Spanish speaking communities
-In our neighborhoods
-Among Native Alaskans
-Among our fishing fleet
4. Lord, would You send me into the harvest.
-Empower me to do good work, display a good heart, and declare the good news.
-Equip me with the knowledge and gifts I need to reap Your harvest.
-Encourage me to live boldly and joyfully to Your glory.
