Quite impressive
I'll change my rating if the recipes fail. I would give this book 5 stars if it had accompanying photos of the finished recipes, however that is the only drawback I see in this book. It has everything from beverages, sweet breakfast, simple breakfast, healthy breakfast, gourmet breakfast, staples, and some dishes I've never heard of. Most recipes are ingredients you can get at your local grocer, but there are some recipes with specialty ingredients. I think it's really great that while the main recipe is written using standard American measurements, a lot of the recipes also include the measurements in ounces and grams as well. Overall I think this could be the one go-to breakfast cookbook, no matter what you crave in the mornings. This book has you covered.
Good, but not great.
PROS:
This book has some very nice recipes, and often provides suggestions on sides to expand the recipe into a full meal.
The directions are explicit and clear.
There is a wide variety of ingredients and flavors, so this should appeal to most eaters.
CONS:
The book needs a good editor (bon appetit vs bon appetite, for example) - though the spelling errors do not substantially affect the content.
There are no pictures of completed recipes within.
Almost no personality within the book, just a straightforward collection of recipes with little greater cohesion.
