A few years ago, we took a fourteen day Celebrity Classical Mediterranean Cruise between Barcelona, Spain and Venice, Italy. The cruise itself, the locations visited and the included and optional tours made for a fantastic cruise; our best ever!  On this trip we had the opportunity to visit the two smallest countries in the world; Monaca and Vatican City.

The itinerary for our cruise was:

Day 1: Flew from home to Barcelona, Spain

Day 2: We embarked the ship in Barcelona, Spain

Day 3: The ship was at sea for the day

Day 4: Docked in Nice, France where we visited Nice and Monte Carlo

Day 5: Docked in Livorno, Italy where we visited Pisa and Florence, Italy

Day 6: Docked in Civitavecchia, Italy where we spent two days in Rome

Day 7: Docked in Naples, Italy where we visited the Amalfi Coast, Salerno and Pompeii

Day 8: The ship was at sea for the day

Day 9: Piraeus, Greece where we visited Athens, Greece

Day 10: Istanbul, Turkey where we spent two days in Istanbul

Day 11: Mykonos, Greece where we spent a day on Mykonos and took a cruise to the island of Delos

Day 12: The ship was at sea for the day

Day 13: Split, Croatia where we spent the day in Old Town Croatia and the market

Day 14: Venice, Italy where disembarked the ship and flew home
