Alright guys, so here's the low down. Corey's laptop has died (unbootable disk error blue screen) and that's why we haven't been on schedule. BUT over the holidays most of the guys got together and sat around an echo-y room and did a massive recording. First part is our "Oscars" episode in which we name off some specific awards to the films. Not much Corey could do about the volume levels as we were drinking. So here's Aaron, Kyle Smith, Scotty, David, Rob, and Corey being idiots. ENJOY!Show Notes00:00:00 - Opening: Arrested Development Theme00:00:17 - The Betas01:40:00 - Closing: Don Omar - Danza Kuduro (feat. Lucenzo)
Corey is back with special guest, Zac Bertschy, again in order to lament over the worst movies of 2011. No show notes again as I couldn't bring myself into writing for the horribleness of these movies. If you're looking for happiness, you've come to the wrong place. OH THE HOLIDAY CHEER!
Here's a newly edited podcast by Robert. He sits around with Scotty to talk about The Lookout. No show notes because Corey did not edit this episode.
Back again folks. This time, Corey is joined by Sam Hoy, Kyle Smith, Kyle Grimes, Scotty Heaton, and Aaron Hoffman for our Muppets episode! But that's not all what we talk about. We answer a bunch of twitter questions about Criterion, Terrance Malick, our "Origin Story", how we got our podcast name, holiday movies, what inspired us to be avid movie fans, and what if we had our own action figures. Good times to be sure. We also have a what we've been watching segment. Let the awkward discussion begin! Oh yeah, and leave us a comment of what you thought too!SHOW NOTES00:00:00 Opening: Randy Newman - A Bug’s Life Overture00:00:30 What?! So here we are again. This time Sam Hoy, Kyle Smith, Aaron Hoffman join Corey to talk about... well nothing specifically. We answer some questions that YOU sent in and do an extensive What We've Been Watching segment in which Corey is harassed about Back to the Future (haters gonna hate). And Corey becomes annoyed and swears a lot and starts becoming slightly jokingly offensive. He apologizes if he offends you, he truly loves Canadians. He also has no idea why he's all fuzzy.Show Notes00:00:00 Opening: Randy Newman - A Bug's Life Overture00:00:30 One of our popular crappy introductions00:04:02 Aaron: Jurassic Park and Back to the Future Trilogies00 11:20 Kyle: American Horror Story, Sundance Films, Dog Soldiers00:29:18 Sam: Dexter, Horrible Bosses00:42:22 Corey: Punisher War Zone, The Devil's Double, Prime Suspect00:55:25 Interlude: South Park - La Resistance (Medley)00:57:16 TWITTER QUESTION TIME!01:21:04 Closing: Caville - Starlight01:23:01 Technical Difficulty Song by Aaron
This episode is dedicated to Veteran's Day and to celebrate them in our own way Corey, Rob, Ed Sizemore, and Kyle Smith share their "favorite" War films. Sadly though Corey (aka me), had to rush out the door so please excuse my hurried manner and particularly unprepared-ness. That being said, the rest of the guys did a great job holding the podcast down with me. Thank your veterans and soldiers you know and enjoy!Show Notes00:00:00 - Dedication to KC Carver-Dobson00:01:16 - Introductions00:02:41 - Corey's Picks00:21:31 - Interlude: Choir of All Saints - Soon My Lord00:22:44 - Kyle Smith's Picks00:43:47 - Interlude: Katherine Jenkins - Hymn to the Fallen00:45:00 - Ed Sizemore's Picks01:02:07 - Interlude: Hans Zimmer - Eternal Father Strong to Save01:03:28 - Rob's Picks01:29:45 - Interlude: David Arnold - Independence Day01:30:36 - Honorable Mentions/Thanks01:48:15 - Closing: Cadet Glee Club of West Point - Mansions of the Lord
We're back with just Rob and Corey for a brief episode (under an hour total!) full of coughing, sneezing, and occaisional banter. Don't worry, kiddos - next week's episode should help fill our ten-hour quota. But today we share our thoughts on Arkham City, positive thoughts on Dexter, 50/50, Moneyball, the TV landscape post-Breaking Bad, and finally our feature discussion on Training Day. Ed Sizemore again joins Corey, Robert, and Scotty in order to discuss The Thing (2011) and how it doesn't live up to John Carpenter's The Thing.
