It's about love, not just decks: the closest this DJ gets to doing an old school 'mixtape' for a beau. This is also from where my Mylo & The Jets mash-up originates.

There have been breakbeat tracks in my DJ sets since the early days, mostly from those two rulers of the scene Plump DJs and Stanton Warriors whom I discovered via their early 00's mix cds Elastic Breaks (Plump DJs) and The Stanton Session (Stanton Warriors), plus of course from the remixes they have done of some of my favourite dance acts (Orbital, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx). I wanted to make a mix as an homage to The Stanton Sessions (which are amongst my most listened to DJ mixes) using the tracks I have used in the past and some others I've since discovered. The idea for the intro has been knocking around in my head for just as long and I am glad that it has all finally come together.
