We all know Jesus told us to “go and make disciples.” But why? Jesus gives us a bigger answer than simply, “Because I told you to.” We make disciples because God’s great purpose for history is to gather to himself a people from every nation who will know him, worship him, and enjoy him forever. That gives our mission both urgency and significance. So this morning, we’ll look at three answers to the question: Why make disciples?

Today we explore one of the most beautiful extended metaphors for life with Jesus. It is the Vine and the branches. Let’s look at both to see the source of our life and how the fruit, character like Jesus, comes from abiding in the root. We will move through 5 branches of truth in the passage. Let’s go!

This morning we want to see how valuable the Kingdom of God is and how much it is worth. When we find the answer we will realize that there is no buyer’s remorse. It is worth whatever God asks of you. There is no bad trade. Let’s look at the treasure of the KINGDOM and the KING.

This morning we look at the heart of the Great Shepherd for the sheep. We will see that God loves the humble and asks us to love them too rather than despise or look down on them. But how can we have that same heart? Let’s find out by looking at the HEART, the, the HUMILITY, and the HELP.

This morning we look at the most important PRINCIPLE of the Kingdom, and the POWER of the Kingdom, so that we can examine whether we have a kingdom heart. This well known parable of the soils is challenging to each and every one of us. Let’s listen up!

Once you own your own part in a conflict, how do we go about speaking the truth in love? This Sunday we are going to define CANDOR and learn how to pursue it when conflict still remains. Let’s look at three truths about CANDOR and shine a light on conflict resolution.

The first step in reconciling any conflict is to own your own part. We do this as Romans says, as far as it depends on you, by examining our own part in the conflict and seeking forgiveness for our contribution through REAL confession. But why are so prone to point out the other person’s faults? We need a Gospel centered response that overcomes fear and shame. Let’s look at three truths together.
