Bethany Worship Center - Katy

God is calling for His people to change. We are responsible to give Him what He’s asking for. We can’t bring Him alternative sacrifices when He is asking for our hearts. Listen in to learn how to bring God exact change.

You are God’s masterpiece! You are His chief creation and a work of beauty! You have His heart, His affection and His commitment to help you in area of your life! He has plans for you that are beyond anything you can think or imagine. But until you start believing that, you will continue to live a mediocre existence. Your adversary, the devil, wants to ensure that you never see it and he will help you become your own worst enemy if you submit to his lies. It’s time to believe the truth about yourself!

Israel left Egypt during the Exodus but Egypt continued to block their blessing. They didn’t block them physically, but the systemic damage from 400 years of oppression kept them from seeing themselves as God saw them. Its time to let go of the slavery mentality and upgrade your identity! It’s time to be all that God says you are!

We need an upgrade! For too long we have been trying to live life on an old operating system. God is allowing us to experience a system crash to give us an opportunity to upgrade to His system. As Pastor Matt introduces this new series, he outlines the problems behind a system crash and offers God’s solution.

We have several opponents; COVID-19, racism, classism, political polarization, and others. But there is only one enemy - Satan. He wants us to fight each other. He wants us to give up. He wants us defeated. He wants us feel powerless. But we have a Champion - Jesus Christ! He fights our battles. He is still. . . The undisputed, undefeated heavyweight champion of the universe!

The Lord has allowed us a tremendous opportunity for change! If we are going to see change come to our lives, we must pray. The battle is not against flesh and blood, a race, creed or group. There is one enemy - Satan. We must continue to fight in prayer if we are going to see real, lasting change. The Holy Spirit comes to help us pray and win!

Our Heavenly Father wants us to grow up to look and act just like Jesus. He gave us the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost to help us mature. Sadly, many believers go back to the first Pentecost in a futile attempt to grow up. We try to live out the rules instead of relishing in the relationship. Listen as Pastor Matt shares God’s method for maturity in the message.

Jesus promised to give us another Helper - one just like Him. The Holy Spirit is the One who does everything Jesus would do for us if He were here on Earth. In this message, you will learn the role of the Holy Spirit to help us know and apply the Word of God.

John the Baptist prophetically declared that the One coming after him would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire. God allows and plans for fiery trials to burn dead things from our lives. We have to learn to trust Him when we’re going through them. Listen as Pastor Matt shows us how to endure the fire with the help of the Holy Spirit.

We all get thirsty. Thirst can be physical, emotional or spiritual. Sometimes we don’t know what part of us is thirsty and we use what is most convenient or appeals to our flesh. Jesus said in John 7:37, “If any man thirsts, let Him come to me and drink.” He promised to give us foundations of living water from within us through the Holy Spirit. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you obey your thirst in the right way.
