Why did Jesus suffer? Why was He wounded, rejected, and led like a lamb to the slaughter?
Isaiah 53 gives us the answer: Jesus Christ suffered for sinners.
We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. We cannot remove our guilt, repair our broken relationship with God, or save ourselves. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus came to do for us what we could never do for ourselves.
In this message, Bro. Chris Price presents four truths from Isaiah 53:
1. Jesus Came to Save Sinners Who Could Not Save Themselves
2. Jesus Christ Took Our Place as Guilty Sinners
3. Jesus Willingly Gave Himself as the Offering for Our Sin
4. Jesus Justifies Us as Sinners and Gives Us Hope
Jesus was not suffering for His own sins because He had none. He was wounded for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. The judgment we deserved fell upon Him.
The bread and cup of the Lord’s Supper are not magical. They do not save us or erase our sins. They are symbols that remind believers that Jesus gave His body and shed His blood in the place of sinners.
Salvation was purchased at the cross and is freely offered to everyone who will repent and trust Jesus Christ. Because Jesus died and rose again, guilty sinners can be forgiven, made right with God, and given everlasting hope.
As we consider Isaiah 53 and approach the Lord’s Table, each of us should ask:
“What has Christ done with my sin?”

We have all made decisions we wish we could undo. Perhaps we moved too quickly, trusted the wrong person, ignored a warning, or failed to seek God’s direction. What should we do when the decision has already been made and the consequences cannot be avoided?
In Joshua 9:16–27, Israel learned the truth about the Gibeonites only three days after making a covenant with them. Israel could not undo the decision, but the people could still choose to honor God in what they did next.
Bro. Chris Price presents three practical responses:
• Face the truth instead of hiding the mistake.
• Keep your word when it becomes costly.
• Deal honestly with the consequences.
A bad decision does not have to become the final chapter of your life. Jesus Christ remained faithful even when obedience led Him to the cross. He died for our sins and rose again so that we could receive forgiveness, restoration, and a new beginning.
You may not be able to change yesterday, but by God’s grace, you can honor Him with your next decision.

Israel had already been to Ai once - and it ended in defeat. But God was not finished with His people. He gave them another opportunity, and this time they would learn an important lesson: the right way is God’s way.
In Joshua 8:3–13, we see three truths about following God when He gives us another opportunity:
• Set the City on Fire - Joshua 8:8
Do what God has said.
• Stay Where God Put You - Joshua 8:9–12
Be faithful to the assignment God has given you.
• Be Ready Before Battle Begins - Joshua 8:13
Prepare spiritually today for the battles you may face tomorrow.
We may not find every decision specifically mentioned in Scripture, but God’s Word gives us principles to guide our lives. Whether the decision is big or small, we can seek His wisdom, pray, and learn to recognize His provision in everyday life.
You cannot rewrite yesterday, but by God’s grace, you can walk differently today.
The right way is God’s way.

The Right Way Is God’s Way | Joshua 8:3–13
Israel had already faced Ai once - and failed. When God graciously gave them another opportunity, they could not simply repeat the same mistakes and expect a different result.
In Joshua 8:3–13, we discover three practical truths for doing life God’s way: Set the City on Fire - do what God has said; Stay Where God Put You - be faithful to your assignment; and Be Ready Before Battle Begins - prepare spiritually before the battle comes.
Not every decision we face is specifically named in Scripture, but God’s Word provides principles that guide us. From life-changing decisions to the ordinary moments of everyday life, we can seek God’s wisdom, recognize His provision, and follow His direction.
You cannot rewrite yesterday, but by God’s grace, you can walk differently today.

THREE THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU FAIL
Text: Joshua 8:1–23
Joshua 8:1–2 | Bro. Chris Price
Bethel Baptist Church, Orange, Texas
What should you do after you have sinned, failed, or fallen?
Joshua 8 begins after Israel suffered a painful defeat at Ai. Once the hidden sin was confronted, God spoke to Joshua again: “Do not fear and do not be dismayed.” God gave His people another opportunity to get up, follow His plan, and move toward the victory He had prepared.
In this message, Bro. Chris shares three things to do when you fail:
Do Not Fear What Is Ahead
Do Not Be Dismayed by What Is Behind
Do Not Give Up Before the Victory
Failure may be part of your story, but through Jesus Christ, it does not have to be the final chapter. God still offers forgiveness, restoration, redemption, and hope.
When we follow our own way, we invite defeat. When we follow God’s way, He leads us into the victory He has prepared.
God has a blueprint for your life:
Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Belong to His church family.
Build your life upon God’s Word.
Bless others through serving and giving.
The God of the comeback is calling you to come home, get up, and follow Him.

In this message, “Acting Out” from Acts 4:5-12, we examine the bold response of Peter and John as they stand before the religious leaders and refuse to be silent about Jesus Christ. Faced with opposition, criticism, and pressure to compromise, they proclaim the truth that salvation is found in Christ alone.
This sermon challenges believers to move beyond simply talking about faith and to live it out with courage, conviction, and obedience. As we explore the power of a Spirit-filled witness, we are reminded that the same Jesus who transformed the early church still empowers His people today.
Join us as we discover what it means to faithfully “act out” our faith in a world that desperately needs the hope of the Gospel.
