2 Chronicles 18:1-26

We have all heard the saying..."I don't have the stomach for it".  What is meant by such an idiom?  In simple terms, what we are saying is that there is not the appetite or the toleration for a particular thing.  Have you a stomach for the truth?  We are living in an age where positive thinking rules.  No longer is it acceptable in the house of God to preach against sin or to name sin.  The question must be asked...why?  To which the apostle Paul responds..."For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2 Tim. 4:3).

In this message a timely warning is issued not to turn away from truth.  As uncomfortable as truth is at times to receive, if we have not the stomach for it then we shall embrace a lie to our own peril!!

Romans 12:1-2

It is one thing fighting an enemy that you can see, but it is quite another fighting an enemy that you cannot see!!  In such situations, one is fully dependent upon intelligence, namely the gathering of information for the purpose of making visible what is invisible.  Dear Brethren, we are in an all out war, "...not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Eph. 6:12).  

This world system lies under the rule of the prince of this world whose express desire is to conform us to its system and its values.  We as believers must contend in the battle for our minds.  What are we allowing to influence us?  Is it the Word of God or the spirit of this age?

2 Chronicles 7:14

Have you drifted from God in heart and in practice?  Do you look back to a time when things were not as they are now?  Is there a coldness and an indifference to the things of God?  Are you entertaining and making allowances for sin in your life?  This message is an exhortation and a passionate plea for you to return to your God!!  There are many misunderstandings about what revival is, whereas the true meaning of the word is contained within the word itself; to re-vive, to make alive again, to bring to life again that which is dead!

In this message, four clear biblical steps for personal revival are outlined and expounded from the Word of God..."If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"  

1 Chronicles 17:1-4

Dear Brethren…do you have a heart-felt burden for the next generation?  There’s no doubt about it, we are living in the midst of a spiritual famine and the Church as we once knew it is quickly becoming no more!  I ask…what will be left of true authentic Biblical Christianity to hand down to the next generation if things continue as they are?  Jeremiah cried to the people in his day; “…stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein…” (Jer. 6:16).

King David was such a man in his generation who had a burden and a love for God, so much so that as he sat in his royal abode, his heart was smitten; here he dwelt in a house of cedar whilst the ark of God dwelt in a tent!!  Upon being refused the privilege of building a house for God David was not deterred; his heart turned wholly to the next generation, namely his son Solomon and David poured the later years of his life into making extensive preparation for the building of the temple which was to be built by his son.  This message is a challenging call for us to pave a clear way in the midst of this dessert that our children’s children might have a godly heritage.

Proverbs 16:6

The fear of God is greatly lacking in the Church of Jesus Christ today and for that reason, many are entangled in sin without any fear of reprise.  They would maintain that everything past, present and future is under the blood and we have only now to await heaven.  How we live between now and then is seemingly inconsequential to the final outcome, namely the saving of their souls and their entrance into heaven.  Yet, the Word of God is clear, God will not be mocked!!  If we as Christians turn from the living God in rebellion to live a life of sin, then we do so to our own peril and destruction.  Our God indeed is a consuming fire "and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil" (Prov. 16:6).

This message is a stern challenge delivered in the love of Christ, calling the Body of Christ back to the awesome fear of God, may God grant us grace to heed the warning!! 

Jeremiah 42

How little time and consideration we give to seeking the face and will of God for matters that face us in our lives.  How careless and hasty we often are in rushing ahead with business.  Whilst there are many things that we don't have to seek God's will for, matters that the Word of God is clear on regarding for instance morality and sin; there are matters and decisions that face us personally that we cannot afford to not seek the face of God on!

In this sermon, an honest heart searching message is given, calling the body of Christ to seek the face of God for direction in their lives regarding the decisions that need to be made at the crossroads of life and in that seeking, not to play the hypocrite with God!  Honesty is the crucial ingredient in our seeking the face of God.  When we seek the face of God, He will give us His instruction, the question is will we obey!

In this final part, Roger comprehensively and very competently demonstrates that the Emergent Church through its many spiritual disciplines and exercises that are rooted in Roman Catholic mysticism are not only taking many misled Christians back to Rome but are in fact preparing people for the final end-times spiritual deception in preparation for the coming Antichrist. The road to Rome is ultimately the road to Babylon!!
