Bethlehem Baptist Church, NZ

This Sunday we had our 30th anniversary and Tom Frew the founding delivered the morning's message.

For the past 2000 years, the church has done a sacred exchange. As each generation grows older, they must learn how to hand over the reigns of the church to the new younger leaders. What would you say if you know you won’t be around to help? And how do you move forward, without guidance of those who have gone before you? Let’s go back to that very first exchange; where Paul begins his final letter. A life time of experience and wisdom reaches out: “Dear Tim…”

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

We have guest speakers from all over the world sharing with our church on a regular basis.
