Bethlehem Baptist Church, NZ

Worship. It's so foundational to what we do, but it's so easy to forget why. We get caught up in discussions about whether the music was good, or what style it should have that we can miss Jesus in it all. And He is the one it should all be about right? Let's check ourselves into worship rehab, let's discover what it means to pursue God in all areas of our life, not just when the music is playing.

When you're going on an adventure, what do you pack? Do you pack the essentials or a bunch of random things that you don't really need? We can end up doing the same thing with our faith. Our new series, "Traveling Light", is going to be an incredible journey through the book of James. So get ready, pack your bags, grab your passports and make sure your tray tables are in the upright position.

The Soapbox has always been a place to share what you’re passionate about. A skilled “soapboxer” had to be quick on his feet, figuratively and sometimes literally, having the ability to express opinions with clarity, be able to deflect hostility with humour or satire and to be ready to face difficulty or danger with courage. For the next few weeks, we’ll be providing a platform for people in our community to be able to share what fires them up, what God has placed on their heart.
