  • Learn to "EAT WELL" with Dietitians Ashley Carter & Jasmine Westbrooks-Figaro
Better Black Health with Dr. Greg Hall welcomes Ashley Carter and Jasmine Westbrooks-Figaro, two brilliant Black women who launched EatWell Exchange, an organization that works to decrease health disparities in low-socioeconomic communities while keeping culturally relevant foods on the table. The ladies aimed to dispel myths about nutrition in the Black community and empower lower socioeconomic communities with the access, knowledge, and confidence they need to eat a nutritious diet within their own food culture. Only 2.7 percent of dietitians identify as Black. Despite this, Ashley and Jasmine have conducted hands-on food demonstrations for over 10,000 people to showcase foods from various regions.
