Hey broke is a choice listeners, this is a bit about me:
I'm an optometrist, been practicing for 6 years - I own two optometry practices (which I started from scratch). Hubby and I run both practices, he is also an optometrist. I started to invest in real estate end 2017 - total 6 properties, one is a flip.
Random things about myself - I have ADD and get bored easily I like to challenge myself with new things - currently is real estate. But being bored/broke in college led me to become an ebay power-seller by selling coupons online (I dumpster dove for coupons). I also drop-shipped goods from China in college to pay my rent because I kept getting eviction notices. Last year, I was bored and created an e-commerce website to sell pet accessories - self taught myself facebook marketing/ad targeting and shopfiy.
I grew up poor, welfare, section 8 - the whole story, which taught me how to hustle my butt to make $. However - making $ is not what excites me, it's the challenge and victory.
I'm 33 years old, have a 6 month old son and my goal is to be a stay at home soccer mom by 38 years old. I love to work and I think I'm a workaholic, and I love being an optometrist, but I also love to be "actively" lazy. Meaning, when I am lazy, my mind is thinking of the next hustle. I work my ass off now so I can be lazy later.
Goals this year - I'm working on building my REI portfolio and another flip, growing both of my optometric practices to the next level, losing that mom bod - and of course being an awesome mom.
