Is This an Emergency?
When did every inconvenience become a reason to call 911?
From parenting disagreements to everyday frustrations spiraling into full-blown public spectacles, it seems like we've forgotten the difference between an actual emergency and simply not getting our way.
In this episode of Better Moody: Mom's Diary, I'm talking about a viral parenting incident that left me questioning how we handle conflict, discipline, and common sense.
Are people becoming less patient? Are we too quick to escalate situations? And why does everything need to become a spectacle?
A little humor, a little perspective, and a question worth asking: Is this really an emergency, or have we all lost our minds?
🎙️ Better Moody: Mom's Diary | Real stories, motherhood, and the occasional rabbit hole.
What would happen if I ran over the school road guard?
Relax. I didn’t do it. 😂
But every morning, I pull into school drop-off knowing exactly where my daughter needs to get out. And every morning, one woman stands between me and freedom.
This is a story about school drop-off, unnecessary rules, intrusive thoughts, Jesus taking the wheel, and the tiny inconveniences that somehow become the final straw.
Welcome to Better Moody.

I don't need a vacation. I just need 13 minutes where nobody can find me. Where I don't have to pick up the same thing I just picked up on a loop for the past 32 hours. Where glasses are actually on coasters and the dirty diapers change themselves.
In this episode, I disappeared for too long. I let my brain wander and I may never return. Motherhood, tired, random thoughts, and luxurious alone time is what is needed.
So, if you never hid in the bathroom, sat in your car longer than necessary or quietly vanished because everybody needed something from you - you may not get it. But thats ok. ONe dAy...one dAY muahahaha. Ahem... This episode is for you.
First of all. Steep learning curve. This episode is just me truly drinking from the firehose of editing knowledge. So Me playing with graphics and learning how to edit in Davinci Resolve. It's not a game lol. Very serious business. jk. It was fun, Be kind. I want the best for my kids and even though they have it - I guess I want them to have more than what I could possibly imagine. I will need help to do that. My mind is finite. So I feel this episode did not fully evolve. I am ok with that. Are you?
So Shushi! like me or leave me...Love you bye!

thoughts, baby’s pizza, me trying to have a day off while still very much being a mom, and a surprise little dance-off at the end because apparently that’s where the day took us.
It’s chill. It’s chaotic. It’s basically just you hanging out with me for a bit.
And if you make it to the end… surprise.
We may just be friends now.
Love you, bye.
Once you find out that most of the universe is made up of things we can’t see—and that scientists can see the effects of something they still can’t fully explain—it opens a door your brain may not be prepared to walk through.
So naturally, I walked through it.
This episode starts with dark matter and somehow ends up where Better Moody usually does: somewhere between science, life, curiosity, and me wondering what else is right in front of us that we don’t fully understand.
I don’t have the answers. I just have significantly more questions now.
Do me a solid - like and subscribe.
Love u Bye.
After watching “Dark Matter”, I started thinking about all the lives we could have lived—and wondering where I went in the one I actually chose. This is an unfiltered conversation about loneliness, motherhood, responsibility, mortality, wanting more from life, and sometimes just wanting somebody else to take over long enough for me to have some tea time.
We’ve watched Masters of the Universe an absolutely unreasonable number of times—and somehow, I’m completely okay with it. Somewhere between my toddler yelling about “the power,” Duncan admitting “Teela, I failed,” childhood PE trauma, Skeletor apparently being called “Daddy,” and my completely unnecessary research into the actors, I started wondering: what are our kids actually absorbing from the things they watch over and over?
Maybe one of the best things they can learn is that you can fail without becoming a failure.
This one is late, interrupted, slightly unhinged, and recorded with gum in my mouth. Welcome to Better Moody: The Way Forward.
From a hospital room after my daughter’s successful scoliosis surgery, I’m talking about parenting, motherhood, sacrifice, and the incredible reward of raising children. Kids cost us time, sleep, money and comfort—but what are we really saving all that time for anyway?
Plus: why the real superstars are people who pursue excellence, hospital-room chaos, and a reminder that maybe the interruptions aren’t getting in the way of life.
Life …it’s the greatest interruption:)
As promised, here’s two whole minutes of one super-confident little kid reminding us all, “I got dis.” If you’re ever feeling like you can’t do something, just play this a few times. By the end, you might start believing it too.
Because sometimes, we all need a little Camden confidence.
