Jake and Justin sit down with their friend and brother, Jordan Gilliam, to discuss the sudden and heartbreaking loss of his wife, and how in the midst of all of the sadness, there is still hope. Also, Jake defines his new diet as "gluten-free light."

When the first recording of this episode tragically disappeared, we had to head down the the Better Wine Cellar to record it again. It lacks the magic of road noise since the original was recorded in the truck on the highway, but we think it’s a pretty good conversation anyway. Jake, Justin and special guest, Nate talk about their adventures on the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore trail. Also, our thoughts taking sleeping bags out of compression sacks as a comparison to the birthing process...and an unfair stereotype of midwives.

Summer in Michigan means slowing down and enjoying the three months of warm weather and sunshine we get.  It also means a disruption to the rhythms of life...including the rhythm of this Podcast.  Listen in as we talk about why we're ok with that, and the importance of resting in the midst of life.

Sometimes life is tough...things don't work out the way you though they would, you get bogged down by stress, busyness, the mundane.  It's time like these that we find it helpful to start naming the things that bring us joy.
