On this episode, a small part of a series, i explore the (complicated) Relationship between Afrikan immigrants who live in the United States of America and Americans of African descent and ancestry. I pooled together conversations from both communities in this first part and i hope you learn a thing or two from our shared trauma and eventually join in the movement to emancipation. There are many myths about the "other" that we hold on to and my goal is to dismantle those pre-conceptions and create a new understanding between us distant relatives. This series is to be continued as this is an ongoing conversation so please watch this space...
Heads up: Portions of this episode is recorded in Yooba (Yoruba) language and also contains some explicit content.
