I start this episode by admonishing and instructing millennials to call their parents more. The reality of old age for our parents should compel us to strengthen our relationships with them. Afterwards, I discuss in no particular order; my current research on the philosophy and opinions of Marcus Mosiah Garvey and my view on how long it should take to read a non-fiction educative literature. I passionately decry the attitude policy makers take to education. I am dedicating my life to helping in raising the peoples collective consciousness through books and education. I mention briefly; “soulism” and what it means. I conclude by inviting my listeners and friends to join me in volume two of the lost coach conversions by discussing some of my upcoming projects. In my typical stream of consciousness fashion, I discuss the latest revolutionary news across Africa. I express solidarity with Ethiopia over the assassination of one of its social justice voices . I express nostalgia of home and why it is important to remember my roots. As an international researcher in America, I’m familiar with the onslaught against international students under the American immigration system. (Thankfully, since I recorded this episode, the oppressive executive order has been rescinded). Additionally, I encourage foreigners to see and visit Africa, not in a fetishized wakanda sense but as a corner of the earth deserving normalcy. As always, i discuss spirituality for the young seeker. How do you return to your most reliable spiritual practice so you can be grounded in shaky and uncertain times. Over 4 episodes, i will talk about each of the agreements and how they have and continue to influence my life. In this episode, i focus on the first agreement - Be Impeccable with your Word! What does being impeccable mean and how do our causal use of words improve or reduce the quality of our lives. I also discuss how we use words to inflict trauma on ourselves by either speaking negative, toxic words or believing such words are said to us. being impeccable with your word means speaking with intention and consciously. On this episode, a small part of a series, i explore the (complicated) Relationship between Afrikan immigrants who live in the United States of America and Americans of African descent and ancestry. I pooled together conversations from both communities in this first part and i hope you learn a thing or two from our shared trauma and eventually join in the movement to emancipation. There are many myths about the "other" that we hold on to and my goal is to dismantle those pre-conceptions and create a new understanding between us distant relatives.
