Zac Barnes is a long-time RSL supporter, having been an active part of RSL, Royals, and Monarchs supporters groups over the years. In 2022 he joined RSL staff to become to the Supporter Liaison, where focuses on bridging the gap between supporters and the club to help build the soccer supporter culture in Utah. I had the pleasure of sitting down with him at America First Field in Sandy, UT in August of 2024.

In September 2023, Andrew Vassiliadis broke the news that San Diego Loyal, the USL Championship team where he served as Chairman, would cease operations at the end of the season. In four short years, Andrew built a team and community that will be remembered as a true embodiment of its namesake. Andrew knew the Loyal were a story worth preserving and this summer he released 619 copies of The Loyal Legacy, a coffee table book honoring every detail of the team's existence. Our conversation came after Andrew kindly agreed to deliver a copy to me while I stopped in San Diego on my roadtrip. Miguel Berry played for DC United once. This interview was recorded in that fleeting moment 😅. After graduating from the University of San Diego in 2020, Miguel was selected by Columbus Crew with the seventh overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft. After winning the Cup with them, he came to Washington, DC in the summer of 2022. He currently plays for Atlanta United.

In 2018, South Georgia Tormenta FC was the USL League One team announced ahead of its inaugural season. And on November 6, 2022, the club's month-old stadium hosts its very first final.  I sat down to chat with Co-owner and President, Darin Van Tassell on what Tormenta's growth means for him, for Statesboro, and for soccer.

Drew Moor played his 18th season in Major League Soccer this year. I had the opportunity to sit down in-person with him when the Colorado Rapids traveled to over Labor Day weekend. Drew got his start with FC Dallas, spent 10 non-consecutive seasons with the Rapids including their championship run in 2010, and played at Toronto FC during their dominant streak in the mid-2010s. We discuss his impressive and impressively long career.
